In her pursuit of creative freedom Andrė put together The NewARTrio --- the new ensemble for new music. Tomas Dobrovolskis --- percussionist and designer of musical instruments. His most interesting artifacts are The Brass Globe and The Glass, unique percussion/electronic instruments for which Tomas also has devised the notation system and the way of playing. Tomas collaborates with "Ženklo grupė", "Vilniaus mušamieji", N. Malūnavičiūtė, E. Kanevičius and other performers, and his projects are often heard onstage at international jazz festivals. He has recorded several solo and collective albums. Raimondas Sviackevičius --- a versatile artist, winner of numerous international accordionist competitions. He performs any interesting music of all styles --- from Baroque to contemporary academic and improvisatory projects. Raimondas --- first performer of numerous works by Lithuanian composers and member of avant-garde ensemble "Gaida". In 2004 he recorded his first solo album containing works of modern authors. |
This dramatic piece exploring the infinitely complex landscapes of human self has been conceived for the "turning sounds4" festival in Warsaw.
"The Trip..." is a real and unique Musical Mystery which should be experienced by every listener. Everyone becomes the actual participant in the unfolding musical realm during the concert. Everyones inner state and listening activity not just simply let the music come in, but also takes its share in the buildup of the collective emotional space where the music is made. The improvisational and spontaneous character of music enables performers to interplay with the listeners in the real time. The music emerges as an ever-changing language for this dialogue while performers pursue to reveal the widest possible scale of human inner experiences and sensations.
This project is regarded as ongoing and, ex definitione, infinite project, therefore artists are ever pursuing the chances to perfect it yet further. At the second rerun, at "turning sounds4" festival in Warsaw, these chances have become an imminent reality as Sainkho Namtchylak, the international star of vocal music avant-garde, listened to the performance. Deeply impressed, she greeted the Trio and offered a collaboration.
As a result, two more concerts happened --- as the joint project with Sainkho Namtchylak. The unconventional instrumental setup of The NewARTrio ensemble , together with the Shaman voice by Tuvan singer endowed with the incredible technical virtuosity build up the peculiar, unheard-of sonorities, musical colors and expressions based upon the novel musical concepts.
The further creative collaboration between musicians is in the works. The concept of "The Trip..." is also undergoing its evolution and is likely to fork into various species exploring different realities, with differing means of expression.
